We decided to cast our actors based off of their personalities in real life, that way their acting is more authentic, and they won't have to worry about their acting abilities in the film. There were some exceptions to this though (no candidates who have a criminal record or have done time in juvie...) so my partner and I had to make do with what we had. I asked many of my friends whether or not they would be interested in acting in our film. My partner and I had issues finding people who would be interested, as many people felt nervous about acting. However, we managed to find three people who were interested and available.
Danielle

Actor: Mia Martin
I casted Mia Martin as Danielle due to her ability to adapt to any character role needed. She was open to playing a complex character with a different personality than hers, so my partner and I decided that she would be best fit to play the role of Danielle. Mia's style is more monotoned and dark, however she has a very bubbly and outgoing personality. This will not impede her ability to play Danielle, though, as she has played many different roles throughout her life due to her experience in theatre.
Nicole
Actor: Olivia Duquesnay
I casted Olivia Duquesnay for Nicole due to her lively personality and friendly demeanor. She spends lots of time at the beach, so I believe that her complexion looks the part for Nicole, as Nicole uses the beach as an escape from her reality. Olivia's outgoing personality will add to Nicole's character, and I am excited to see how Olivia makes Nicole a reality for our film opening.
Elliot
Actor: Colby Kaighin
I chose Colby Kaighin to play the role of Elliot due to his outgoing and bold personality. He has an approachable and friendly demeanor and has his own personal connection with the character: the love for celebrity idols. I think that Colby will be able to play the role well due to Elliots similarities to Colby.
Genevive
Actor: Clare Messer
Being the only sister to two brothers, Clare has always had a reckless and spontaneous personality. Her ability to adapt to any character and her love for creating unique storylines shows me that she has the ability to play a complex character with ease. When Clare and I began the brainstorming process for this movie opening, Clare knew automatically that she would love to play Genevive, as she thought she would be able to portray the personality and emotions well. I am excited to see what Clare does to bring this character to life!
Lexi
Actor: Katherine Armstrong (Me)
I will play the role of Lexi, as I feel like I would be the best representation of her due to my looks and personality. When Clare and I were deciding on Lexis traits, we believed that she should be blonde, as blonde gives a more pure and bright feeling, especially on screen. We also thought that Lexi should be the "mom" of the group to contrast Genevive's reckless personality. We wanted our characters to be interesting and individual, yet all complement each other perfectly, so this contrasting dynamic will be perfect for our film.
