Week 3 (2/2): Storyboard

I am excited to utilize lighting in this film. I believe that the time we chose to film our movie is perfect for the mood of our film opening. We will begin our movie opening at sunset, allowing the natural light to create chiaroscuro-like shadows, symbolizing a darker side to the film. Once the plot twist begins, the sun will set, and the lighting will be darker. This adds to the feeling of the film because it creates tension.
I wanted to utilize different shots, as well. We do many group shots, which allows for us to show the groups reactions to what's going on in the film, as well as many close-up shots to illustrate dialogue between the characters. We have outlines what type of film techniques we will use. We will do a few slow-zoom camera movements to dramatize the shot, as well as tracking shots to show the characters actions and movements.
I am looking foreword to trying new film techniques and learning how to conduct different genres, and am excited to collaborate with my partner on the creative aspects of this film opening.
