Week 5 (1/4): Equipment List

We began prepping for our film by gathering the film equipment we think we will need.

Microphones

Since we will be filming on the beach, we need to ensure that we will be able to pick up the dialogue during our film opening. Without microphones, our lines would be muffled by the wind. We will tuck the microphones under our costumes to ensure that the wind does not hit the microphone.
Light Fixtures
We are filming at night, so we will need a light source in order to make our characters visible throughout our film. So, we will use light stands to make our scenes more visible.
Steadicam
We want to make our shots smooth for the most part, so we will utilize the handheld Steadicam to ensure that our shots are filmed correctly. Our Steadicam has both a microphone and a small light, so we will use these when filming with the Steadicam.
Selfie Stick
For our scenes filmed in the water, we will use a selfie stick to keep all of our equipment safe and secure. We will also use the selfie stick for smooth shots and angles when in the rough water.
Car Mount
For our scenes filmed in the car, we will use a car mount to prop up the phone on the dashboard. This will allow us to film in the car without the phone moving or falling.
Tripod
We will use a tripod for our group shots so that way we are able to film all of our characters at once. A tripod will also be helpful on the beach, as it is able to stabilize our shots when in the sand.
